'Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons' - West End Opening Night
Sam Steiner's Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons opened to rapturous reception in the West End in early 2023, and Geek Chic were delighted to play a small part in it's opening, both at the Harold Pinter Theatre and the Londoner Hotel, with our outdoor venue lighting and Photo Pod services.

Across both venues, Geek Chic's technical team ensured we ran to time and delivered a great quality of service, working out of sight of audience and guests to set up impactful products.
At the Harold Pinter Theatre, Geek Chic delivered a venue lighting package to highlight the historic theatre frontage, with seven high-powered LED floods colour matched to the show's branding placed around the front of the building to uplight the walls and entrances.
The immediate street impact of this lighting was evident, with members of the public stopping to take photos, scan the QR codes for ticket purchase on the outside of the theatre and watch as audience members and guests arrived on the yellow carpet for the press night performance.

Meanwhile, during the performance at the Londoner Hotel our team were setting up our Photo Pod experience, with custom Lemon Yellow backdrop, for guests to enjoy during the press night party.
With a unique experience concept designed by our in-house team, our photo pod was specially adapted to superimpose photos taken onto a customised 'Poster' layout, matching the branding and posters seen on the sides of the theatre, for an extra pop of personalisation and fun of those who came and visited the photo experience.

Using our expanded setup with additional lighting, we created a real focal point in a corner of a very expansive venue, which drew guests in to the experience, allowing them to create a bubble around the pod to watch others enjoy the atmosphere created by our 'Director of Photography', who helped guests take the best possible photos through interaction and encouragement.
Additionally, we added our large format sharing screen to increase engagement with the experience, which showed a constantly rotating and updating slideshow of sessions taken throughout the event. Guests could scan a QR code on the screen to instantly download the photos on-screen, perfect for larger groups who used the pod frequently through the party.
With our all-digital concept, guests were able to access their photos instantly via QR code, Email or Airdrop, a feature described to our director of photography as 'literally magic' by one guest. We wouldn't go quite that far, but if you'd like a little slice of magic at your next press event, please do get in touch via our contact page above.
